Visited the Anderson Center and Tower View. There was some really neat art and some art I liked not at all. I’ve never been an abstract fan.

The day was so beautiful. Stunning sun and green grass as far as I could see. My mom and I walked in circles and looked at every installation.

Mall of America trip! Long day, but lots of fun. Hung out with an old friend I haven’t seen since college.

We splurged on some cinnamon rolls and walked it all off after.

Coworkers and I went bowling, had dinner, and played some arcade games.

Right at the end, I ended up emptying a bunch of credits into a claw machine. I ran out of credits just as I was about to get the bear. When I went to get more, the attendant opened the machine and just gave me the bear.

It sits on my desk now!

Ice Cream

Hung out with a friend and we did all the fun things!

We hopped store to store and tried in the most ridiculous things we found. She pulled one floor length coat off the rack, a purple patterned coat with foot long fringe, and started joking about who would wear it. I was obsessed and told her I’d wear it in a heartbeat. Of course I have amazing taste. It was $900 on monster sale and was an Armani piece.

We had pizza for dinner. It was apparently “Girlfriend’s Day” so there was a deal.

Then we went and got ice cream. My cone was the prettiest of all the cones!

My workplace participated in a charity to provide a backpack full of school supplies to kids in need. My department put together a backpack, which means we got to enter a team into a Family Feud-style game.

It looked like the entire office was in the conference room! We battled it out. My team was named Right First Time. While we may have ended up dead last, I think it’s insane that “Children” wasn’t a legitimate answer to “Annoying sounds made by neighbors,” and what possible other answers were there to the question, “Things that people fake” aside from “Orgasm”?

Free tickets to the aquarium through work. I dragged some friends and we did all of the things!

Aside from an IMAX show about pandas, I pet sting rays and a shark, creeped on divers in the big tank, saw some seals, and admired the sea dragons.

The sweetest puppy in all the land. Her name is Beth. She’s currently being fostered. She’s mellow, doesn’t bark, and shows no curiosity. Beth couldn’t even sit in someone’s arms without being picture perfect.

Look at those soulful eyes!

Shopping with a friend and we come across a cheap cat sweater. The conversation was thus:

Me: “You should get this.”

Her: “I already have three cat sweaters. You should get it.”

Me: “Amazing idea. Don’t mind if I do.”

So now I’ve got a cat sweater for the cold summer months I’m the office and even better, I look amazing in it!

This cat, I swear….

She was desperately needed today, likely because I’ve been running downtown every day for the past week. It’s hard to explain to her that cutlets made by a god among men and shopping are more important than hanging out with her.

She’s taken to parking herself on top of my shoes in an act of defiance. Or as a not-so-subtle hint that I shouldn’t leave my shoes laying around.

Harry Potter

Huge fan of the new Harry Potter covers! I was putzing around Prudential Center and saw the new display at Barnes & Nobel.

An all around great day. Unrelated to the series the enveloped by teenage years, I also met a friend for lunch at Wagamama’s. My first visit and it was very satisfying.

The store had this Issac Mizrahi yarn and I was obsessed. No idea what I was going to do with it, but I couldn’t leave the store without it.

Look at this purple! And the gold… I wish I could knit or crochet, but because I can’t, I found something else to do with this gorgeous yarn.

I ended up with a wall hanging. It’s basic, but I can look at the yarn all I want and it even looks like I tried.

Shockingly, today went well. Barbecue at a friend’s and despite rain in the forecast, the weather was gorgeous. We chilled on her patio next to a big garden and the amount of food was both crazy and very satisfying.

Chicken, steak, potato salad, avocado salsa, corn, sweet tea, cookies, brownies, and cake. It was great to hang out in the sunshine and eat food I didn’t have to cook.

I went to a walk during my lunch in a massive park across the street from my office.

It’s weird to realize something you’ve driven past for years isn’t quite what you’d expected. I’ve known the park was there, having lived in the area almost ten years. But it was nothing like I’d imagined.

The other trailed along the Mystic River, a picnic area, and a birdwatching tower. I climbed it clearly, and had an amazing view.

Yaz! New Fenty foundation brush. Luv.

I lucked out and joined a Fenty class at Sephora last week. Tried all of the things! Really fell in love with this brush. Well, and a half dozen other things, but like makes you picks and choose.

Is there anything softer and more special than a new brush? I almost couldn’t bear to use it. But I did.

I’m not saying these are the best cookies ever, because they’re not. But damn are they pretty!

Pink is the best fricking color.

It was a nice afternoon. I marathoned the Alien movies while baking. Maybe I will get into this whole baking idea.

Happy Pride!

I had a nice day. Stopped off at Sephora and got an amazing eye shadow makeover. All rainbows and glitter.

Copley was insane. Everywhere I looked, it was LGBT positive shirts, rainbow flags, and smiles. I watched some of the parade and it was constant cheering.

The weather is finally nice and I’m sick of going from work right back home. I wandered around Copley for awhile.

It had a huge impact of my mood. I felt lighter and happier. It’s great to spend time outside, just seeing the city.
